Our School Policies

Policies on Group Classes

  1. Group classes have a Start and End Date. A group will start on a fixed date and will end 9 weeks later. Only the school is allowed to move the end date by their own accord. Examples: Holidays, cancellation by bad weather, etc.
  2. Once a group class started, you have up to the fourth class or a month, whatever comes first, to ask for a refund. Refunds are calculated the following way: Total Price minus Used Hours minus Administration Fee, equals subtotal 1. To the subtotal 1 we add taxes and that results on the amount to be refunded
  3. Group classes can’t be rescheduled by the student. If a student misses a class, he can ask the administration of the school if there’s a way to make up that class. As per the school discretion we might invite the student for a makeup class on a similar group if there are groups in a similar level.
  4. Transfer to a different group or switch to individual classes. While this is a common practice, it’s up to the school to decide if this is feasible or not. Please note that the start and end dates for a group varies so there might not be a similar group. Just like group transfers, changes from group to individual will be approved or not by the school, depending on availability. The transferred balance will be calculated as it follows:

Group Price/18 hs = Group Classes Hourly Rate

18-Amount of hours used = Remaining Hours

Remaining Hours*Group Classes Hourly Rate = Balance

Indivual Price/10hs = Individual Classes Hourly Rate

Balance/Individual Classes Hourly Rate = Amount of hours left in Individual Lessons. Please note that the amount of hours will be rounded down to the closest quarter hour, as an administration fee.

Policies on Individual Classes.

  1. Unlike Group Classes, Individual Classes have an expiration date. A student purchases a bulk of 10 hours and has to be divided in 8 classes. From the date of purchase, the student has 4 months to use that bulk of hours.
  2. You have up to the fourth individual class or a month, whatever comes first, to ask for a refund. Refunds are calculated the following way: Total Price minus Used Hours minus Administration Fee, equals subtotal 1. To the subtotal 1 we add taxes and that results on the amount to be refunded.
  3. If there’s a promotion running where extra classes are given to the student, those hours have a MSRP value of zero dollars, and as such are not subject to rescheduling, refund, etc.
  4. If a student wants to transfer from Individual classes to group classes, it will be up to the school to allow this transfer or not. If the school allows it the calculation will be done as it follows:

Individual Price/18 hs = Individual Classes Hourly Rate

10-Amount of hours used = Remaining Hours

Remaining Hours*Individual Classes Hourly Rate = Balance

Group Price/18hs = Group Classes Hourly Rate

Balance/ Group Classes Hourly Rate = Amount of hours left in Group Classes. Please note that the amount of hours will be rounded down to the closest quarter hour, as an administration fee. If there is no available group, you will have to sign up for a new group and pay the remaining balance.

Outside of School Tuition:

  1. Home or Business Tuition Classes have an expiration date.
  4. Unlike Individual or Group Classes, Outside of School Tuition can’t be traded in for other courses. Remaining hours can be taught as school, and hourly rate will remain the same as originally quoted.

General notes on School Policies:

  1. Classes should be paid upfront and in bulk.
  2. Materials are not subject to refunds.
  3. You might be asked to buy new material according to the progress of the school. Price will be adjusted to the current price and not the price you paid when you initially paid for the material.
  4. While it’s in good manner to let us know that you are not coming to a group class, this is not required: We do send absentees with what was seen and homework so students are ready for the next class. In group classes, an Absentee counts as a “used class”. On Individual classes, cancellation has to be done 24 hrs. prior to the class in order for us not to charge it; same day cancellations are charged.
  5. Assessment Class, Trial Classes, and any classes that are offered as a “gift” or “try-out” before a course has been purchased, have to be taken before the first paid class starts.
  6. The school reserves itself to make any exception to any and all policies as it sees fits.
